Farmer's Farm: Semi-good Idea
Is this cool or what?
Carol and George Schindler discovered your Blog and caught up on the Farmer Family
news! Seems we can't rely on your Dad...David to report on what's going on!
We would like to claim remarkable intelligence in computers and systems,
but Lisa Moore gave us a hint on your logo....great stuff!
We think your Henry experienced a real miracle and that this event should
be journaled into your Farmers Family History and record for his later
years to review with his family. We bet you already did this, right?
No snow in Reno, NV to celebrate Christmas ... but no skin off our noses...
we probably wouldn't go outside and play in it any way.
However, we did have a wonderful Christmas and enjoyed Christmas dinner with
the Adlish family, and George's 79th birthday at the Moore's home.
We miss the closeness of our families and will have to rely on Farmer's Farm Blog
for real news!
We love you and the family dearly, and would ask a favor of you: because were
getting old...and working genealogy...would you send us an email and a Family
Group Sheet attached so me can update!? We'd love it!
Thank you for the memories...

What 52 Years of Marriage can do for you!
For all of these 52 years I've never inquired about the shoe box and lost interest in the whole thing.
When Carol got very sick several months ago, and the doctor said she may not see another day, I was allowed to get the shoe box and brought it to her bedside. She agreed that it was time to discuss the contents and she opened it for me.
Inside we found two crocheted dolls and a stack of money totaling $95,000!
She said, "When we were to be married, my mother told me the secret of a happy marriage." "She said, never argue and if I ever got angry with you, I should just keep quiet and crochet a doll!"
Well, I was very touched by this story, and loved her even more. There were only two crocheted dolls in the box for all these 52 years, but I asked her what was the $95,000 for and how did she acquire it!
Well, she laid back on the pillow and said with a cute smile, "the money is what I made from selling all the other dolls! (I hope everyone is aware that this blog is entirely for humor and is not true!... My editor says I should remove it! What do you think?)
Now that's real love!

A Lesson in Room Re-decoration without really trying!

Deciding to replace my 65 year old recliner residing in our family room has been a labor of love! First it was starting to get lumpy and I broke the lever arm with a swift grab which almost threw me out into the kitchen. Visitors started to avoid the area of the chair opting to sit in straight backs which were definitely more uncomfortable. Carol decided that the Salvation Army needed the old chair more than I did, so we went shopping for a nice chair. After 9 stores and 210 hours of testing chairs where I must confess I slept in many to really test them out, we hired a sleigh to deliver the chair and set it up. The chair is really too big for the room and currently blocks all the heat from the fireplace and can't be laid back as it hits the computer desk driving the computer crazy and out onto the patio. Well, Carol has had enough! She's hired a painter the paint the bathrooms and kitchen to match the color of the new wonder recliner; shopping for a new computer armoire for me to build during the next 4 months, and is thinking of replacing the lamps and carpeting since nothing matches anymore. She's having a good time, I know she is....so I'm going back outside and play in the snow....when it comes.

LEAVES, LEAVES & MORE LEAVES
me in raking up 22 bags of leaves. Did someone really furtilize
my trees this year?
We've just got to clear them out by next week or we won't find
our way to the voting polls to cast our never counted vote!
However, we post this knowledge so that our families will know
of our love and appreciation for their real love and work. We love
them so much!
Maybe this Christmas we'll give the families bags of leaves already
stuffed with labor and love and next year they can pay us back?
Love all of you............. DAD
